Training
programs must incorporate specific training activities to increase
motor skill and physical fitness levels. These programs must
start with training activities that require minimal motor skills
and physical fitness. After pitchers master specific pitching
skills and attain the minimal pitching fitness, the program must
advance to more advanced training activities that require advanced
pitching skills and physical fitness.
WARNING: Until
the medial epicondyle growth plates become contiguous with their
humeral diaphyses, adolescent pitchers must NOT do my
10 lb. wrist weight or my 6 lb. iron ball exercises.
a. Two Week

I
wrote my two week training program as an introductory program
to my force application techniques. On the Maxline training days,
I teach a fastball and a curve. On the Torque training days,
I teach a fastball and a screwball. Without professional instruction,
pitchers will find perfecting my force application techniques

b. Forty Week
Training Program
I
offer my forty week training program only at my Zephyrhills,
FL Pitching Training Center. Pitchers must agree to train daily
for two hundred and eighty consecutive days. If pitchers miss
days, to regain their training level, they have to train one
and one-half days for every day that they missed. During the
forty week training program, pitchers cannot pitch competitively.
However, after the program, pitchers must pitch competitively
as much as possible. I prefer that pitchers have four years of
college eligibility remaining, but I will accept pitchers with
only two years of college eligibility remaining.

Forty Week
Training Program Ends
After
my forty week training program, to continue their motor skill
development, pitchers have to pitch competitively. Pitchers physiologically
respond to my forty week training program very similarly. They
can achieve the pitching arm strength required to throw all pitches
within the forty weeks. However, I cannot predict when pitchers
will master the pitching motor skills. Pitchers should not expect
to master everything that I teach within the forty week training
program.
