Amherst College Baseball Players Who Made it to the Major Leagues

Baseball Almanac is pleased to present a comprehensive chart of every Amherst College alumnus who played baseball at the Amherst College AND made it to the Major League level.

"It (the death of John Cerutti) was an unbelievable shock," Toronto Blue Jays president Paul Godfrey said, in wire reports. "We all realize, those of us involved in winning and losing games, how unimportant that is at a time like this."

Amherst College MLB Player Alumnus

The Amherst College baseball program started in 1859 and Pete Allen was their first player to make it to the Major League level.

The Ameherst Lord Jeffs are named after Lord Jeffrey Amherst, the commanding general of British forces in North America during the final battles of the French & Indian war (1754-1763) and Governor of Virginia (1763).

Did you know that there are fourteen (14) former Amherst players who made it to "the show"? Send corrections or updates to Baseball Almanac.
