Belmont College Baseball Players Who Made it to the Major Leagues

Baseball Almanac is pleased to present a comprehensive chart of every Belmont University alumnus who played baseball at the Belmont University AND made it to the Major League level.

"Sinker-slider specialist (Jerry) Bell was 5-1 with a 1.65 ERA in 1972 and 9-9 in 1973, but a chronic back ailment shortened his career." - Historian Jane Charnin-Aker on BaseballLibrary.com

Belmont College MLB Player Alumnus

The Belmont University baseball program started in 1952 and Jerry Bell was their first player to make it to the Major League level.

Belmont University is not listed on the chart because the school changed their name from Belmont College to Belmont University in 1991 and none of their college players have made it to the major league level since the name change.

Did you know that there are two (2) former Belmont players who made it to "the show"? Send corrections or updates to Baseball Almanac.
