"It's good to know that if you persevere in the minor leagues, that you can, in fact, make it to the big leagues. Bethune-Cookman College M.L.B. Player Alumnus

The Bethune-Cookman College baseball program started in 1971 and Stan Jefferson was their first player to make it to the Major League level.

On September 20, 1986, just thirteen days after his Major League debut, former Wildcat Stan Jefferson hit his first major league home run in the sixth inning off Tom Hume making Stan the first former B-CC player with a major league home run as well.

Did you know that there are two former Bethune-Cookman College players who made it to the show? Too easy? Did you you know Earl Battey attended Bethune-Cookman after playing baseball and upon graduating became a high school teacher and baseball coach in Ocala, Florida?
