"We're not rookies anymore, and we've got a year under our belts. Every little bit counts as far as experience goes, and hopefully, every year we get a little bit better. This year, we're expecting to play better and for better things to happen." - Clint Barmes

Indiana State University M.L.B. Player Alumnus

The Indiana State University baseball program started in 1896 and Jeff James was their first player to make it to the Major League level. Names that appear on the chart above in bold print are in the Indiana State University Hall of Fame.

On September 6, 1963, former pitcher Tommy John made his Major League debut and this is of note as he attended Indiana State, but did not play baseball for them as he was already a big league hurler.
