Loyola Marymount University M.L.B. Player Alumnus

Loyola Marymount University's baseball program started in 1922 and Les Powers was their first player to make it to the Major League level. Names that appear on the chart above in bold print are in the Loyola Marymount University Hall of Fame.

Did you know that there are twenty-six former Loyola Marymount University players who made it to "the show"? Send correction to Baseball Almanac.

Loyola Marymount University retired three uniform numbers on March 11, 2000. They were retired not just because of their athletic skill, but due also to the way they represented Loyala with "dignity and pride." The three honorees were Bill Bean (#44), Tim Layana (#54) and non-major leaguer Jerry Stone (#10).
