The University of La Verne's baseball program started in 1940 and Ewell Blackwell was their first player to make it to the Major League level. Names that appear on the chart above in bold print are in the University of LaVerne Hall of Fame.

The La Verne Leos wear green & orange (chosen to reflect the many orange groves that were located in La Verne, California), play home games at Ben Hines Field and have won national championships in 1972 (NAIA) and 1995 (NCAA).

Did you know that there are nine (9) former La Verne players who made it to "the show"? Send corrections or updates to Baseball Almanac.
