From 1961 to 1964, the Anaheim Angels (click here for their managers) were the Los Angeles Angels (click here for their managers). In 1965, they were renamed the California Angels and in 1997 they became the modern day Anaheim Angels only to change their name to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in 2005!

During the 1982 season the California Angels, who had a ninety-three & sixty-nine record (93-69), had their largest attendance when 2,807,360 fans attended home games.

Did you know that during the sixties and seventies ten teams were added to the Major Leagues and the Angels were the first of those teams to put together a winning season?
