Providence Grays Managers & Finishes


The Providence Grays played their home games at Messer Street Grounds which was the first ballpark to have a screen behind home plate to protect the fans from foul balls.

During the 1884 season, Old Hoss Radbourn won a single season record fifty nine games and all three games of the matchup between the American Association pennant winner (New York Metropolitans) in the "championship of the United States."
