Assists Records by Pitchers

Did you know that Bob Lemon (1948, 1949, 1951, 1952, 1953 & 1956) and Greg Maddux (1990, 1992, 1993, 1995, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2001 & 2003) have led the league in assists more often in the American & National League respectively than any other pitcher?

Where is the record for assists in an inning? It is not listed because the record is three assists by one pitcher which has happened several hundred times in major league history.

In the National League, the modern record for assists by a pitcher during a single season is one-hundred forty-one set by Christy Mathewson in 1908.
