On May 1, 1920, Leon Cadore of Brooklyn faced Joe Oeschger of Boston in a record twenty-six inning game where neither pitcher had a single error!

From September 21, 1941, through May 20, 1946, Claude Passeau of Chicago had a record two-hundred seventy-three consecutive chances accepted without having a single error on the mound!

Why no record for fewest errors in a season by the league leader? Because the mark is four in each league and several hundred pitchers are tied!
