Fred Tenny (1899, 1901, 1902, 1903, 1904, 1905, 1906 & 1907) led the National League in assists at first base a record eight seasons . In the American League Vic Power (1955, 1957, 1959, 1960, 1961 & 1962), Rafael Palmeiro (1989, 1992, 1993, 1995, 1996 & 1998) and George Sisler (1919, 1920, 1922, 1924, 1925 & 1927) are each tield with a record six seasons.

Did you know that on July 22, 1954, Bob Skinner of the Pittsburgh Pirates set the Major League record for assists by a first bagger in an extra inning game with eight in a fourteen inning contest?

From June 9, 1960, through June 25, 1960, Vic Power of the Cleveland Indians had a Major League record sixteen consecutive games with at least one assist at first base.
