American League Team Presidents

Baseball Almanac is pleased to present a comprehensive breakdown of every team, past and present, in the American League and the presidents each has had since their first game in the American League. Franchise which shifted from city to city (St. Louis Browns -> Baltimore Orioles) are listed seperately. Name changes (California Angels -> Anaheim Angels) are grouped together.

"Grantland Rice, the great sportswriter, once said, 'It's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game.' Well Grantland Rice can go to hell as far as I'm concerned." - California Angels Owner (1977-1990) / Actor Gene Autry
