Did you know that only Tom Connolly, Cal Hubbard, Al Barlick, and Jocko Conlan knew of their induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame? The other four passed away before the Veterans Committee chose to honor their dedication to our national pastime.

Tom Connolly is the only Major League umpire enshrined in the National Baseball Hall of Fame who was born outside the United States! His place of birth was Manchester, England!
