Dizzy Dean | National Baseball Hall of Fame Plaque | Class of 1953 (HOF)
Author / historian Bill James ranked The Great Man as the 25th best pitcher in baseball history, writing, "Dizzy Dean, as most of you know, was a figure of myth and legend, the subject of countless anecdotes still told today. A movie was made about him, books are still written about him regularly although he is now long dead. With just 150 wins, he rushed headlong into the Hall of Fame, and had a lucrative post-playing career as a broadcaster and public speaker."
