Edward Vincent Donnelly was a Major League Baseball player who pitched for the Chicago Cubs (1959). Ed, his nickname, played in the minors from 1956, through 1959, before being promoted to the Cubs in the second half of the 1959 season. After making his big league debut on August 1, 1959, Donnelly said after the game, "Give Kenny Raffensberger a big assist for my being with the Cubs. Raffy taught me to throw a fork-ball when I worked for him at Burlington in the Three-I League last season. That gave me the extra pitch I needed."
