"(Vaughn) Eshelman, who spent last season with the Double-A Bowie Baysox before being chosen in the Rule V draft, gave up three hits in six innings, walked two and stuck out one. 'I thought I'd be back in Double-A at Bowie, Maryland,' he said. 'It definitely makes it easier when you have a lineup behind you that you know is going to get you some support.' Red Sox manager Kevin Kennedy said: 'He was outstanding. He set the tone right away by throwing strikes and working fast.'" - The Baltimore Sun (Wire Reports, 05/03/1995, Valentin, Vaughn slam Yanks, Page 4C)
